TD Turbo Diesel Wagon for purchase. The 300 TD was built on the
storied W123 platform, and served as the E Class from 1977 to 1985.
The lines on the W123's are timeless: straight and clean with
tasteful chrome. The Touring editions (wagons) were even on a three
year backlog in the 1980's showing their domination of the market.
The legendary OM617 Turbo Diesel is one of the most reliable
engines ever built and really makes these cars classics on all
levels and factors. The engines are known to be nearly
indestructible and can be easily converted to alternative fuels,
which has helped boost their already ample popularity.
The 1985 Mercedes 300 TD Turbo Diesel Wagon offered here is an
outstanding original that was purchased new at Stephenson Motor Co.
of Dallas Texas with a delivery date noted 11-26-85. The car came
dressed in classic DB-040 Black exterior paint over a very elegant
tan leather interior. Since, the car has had been driven just 95939
miles and has been serviced and maintained by 3 caring owners. As a
result, this 300TD wagon remains in excellent original condition
throughout. The car features its original OM617 Turbo Diesel engine
paired with the original automatic transmission. The exterior paint
appears to be and is believed to be factory original and shows
excellent for its age, the interior remains completely original
with the leather remaining supple, a near perfect dash, excellent
wood accents, all dials, knobs, buttons and controls remain
complete and intact. The car features factory sliding sun roof,
power windows, power brakes, cruise control, power mirrors, climate
control, factory stereo with cassette, rear window defog, relining
front seats, chrome roof rack etc. Mechanically, this 300TD Wagon
is a dream to drive and is a true highway star.
