1932 Chevrolet 5-Window Rumble Seat Coupe

This Chevrolet 5-window coupe reminds us of why these cars were—and are—so popular. After 85 years this Rumble Seat Coupe runs like it did when new, having a mechanical and frame-off cosmetic restoration. This car was a “trade in” back in 1963 and has remained with the buyer—an employee of the dealership-- ever since!

An Outstanding Car

This 1932 Chevy Rumble Seat Coupe has been the owners’ pride and joy for the last 50+ years:

• • Rebuilt straight 6 cylinder engine;
  • Manual 3-speed transmission
  • Complete repaint in its original Black;
  • Very nice restored interior;
  • 5 wire wheels with like-new 18” tires
  • Starts at the press of the starter; and
  • Stops straight and true.

• Paint and Trim

The frame-off re-spray of this Chevrolet in its original Black is nicer than when it left the showroom.

The chrome trim is all in excellent condition, setting off the character of this roadster.

This coupe has the rear window that winds down and a front window the opens up: 1932 air conditioning that works as well today as it did then.

• Interior

The tan cloth interior is clean and fresh-looking, and as one would expect, the upholstery is free of rips, holes or separations. The tan vinyl upholstery on the rumble seat is also in very good good condition.

• Safety Equipment

The lights and horn work properly. All of the gauges likewise appear to be functioning. The wiper will need some attention if you plan to take this beautiful vehicle out in the rain.

• Engine

The Chevrolet in-line 6 cylinder engine, known for their dependability, starts right up and runs properly. This engine was rebuilt and set up to burn unleaded gas. At the touch of the starter the engine comes to life and is ready for us.

During restoration a new cross-flow radiator was installed to guarantee that this Chevy won’t over-heat on hot summer days.

• Transmission

The manual, transmission has the floor-mounted shifter with 3 forward speeds plus reverse that works well.

• Brakes

The brakes on the Chevy bring it to a halt without pulling from side to side.
