Vehicle Description
This custom '57 Chevy Nomad comes from California and is a
frame-off restoration with sleek lines and upgraded interior. On
the outside, this custom California beauty has a sandblasted and
powder-coated frame with custom metal-flake charcoal-gray paint and
striking orange pearl paint all enhanced with tinted windows. To
enhance the car's sleek lines, the door handles and hood accents
were removed. Mixed size racing wheels were added to give it an
even sportier appearance. The inside of this car is a California
dream, housing new gauges, air conditioning, power steering, iPod
plug in, custom hardware, custom-wrapped fawn leather seats and
remote controlled windows. To add sleekness under the hood, the
firewall was shaved. There is also a complete March aluminum
serpentine belt pulley system attached to a 383ci small-block
stroker engine with Edelbrock aluminum heads. An intake manifold
supplies power to the powder-coated posi-traction 9" Ford rear end
through a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The rear end was tubbed
to fit Boyd Coddington 18x10" wheels, which are supported by mono
leaf springs with stainless ladder bars. Powder-coated tubular
A-arms support the 17x8" wheels. Stopping this beauty is a breeze
with front disc brakes that have a powder-coated booster and chrome
master cylinder along with polished stainless brake and fuel lines.
