Vehicle Description
International Scout Terra 4x4 pickups are very tough to find,
especially in restored condition. This truck was originally from
southern Arizona until it was shipped east in 2011. The original
factory Build Sheet is in excellent condition and included. This
truck was treated to a complete frame-off restoration, which was
completed in the spring of 2016. Since completion, it's only been
driven 1,070 miles. The truck was completely rust-free and it
retains all of the original sheet metal. It was finished in its
original color of Grenoble Green, which is absolutely gorgeous. The
paint is show-quality with multiple layers of paint and clear coat.
The black hardtop is removable, making it a true convertible
pickup. The front grille, front bumper, rear bumper and fender
flares are painted black. It features new front and rear glass, and
all of the exterior trim was restored or replaced. The truck sits
perfectly on new on 133 series 15x8" wheels with Dick Cepek tires.
A full-size matching wheel with tire was custom-mounted in the bed.
The rear bed was coated in Durabak spray liner for extra
protection. Prior to installing the new interior, the cab was also
coated in Durabak spray liner. Everything in the interior was
restored or replaced. Beautifully finished in green and black to
match the exterior, the interior has many great features, including
air conditioning, custom steering wheel, bucket seats and console.
A Retro Sound unit that looks retro but sounds great is connected
to two Boss 5.5" speakers on top and two 6x9 speakers behind the
seats. The engine compartment is nicely detailed and home to the
rebuilt 345ci V8 engine that's been converted to a Hamilton
fuel-injection system. This is a TB system using over-the-counter
Chevrolet parts and a custom wire harness mounted to an RPT
aluminum 4-barrel intake manifold with a custom distributor. The
electronic module and related electronics are mounted in a custom
under-dash box. It starts and runs very smooth. The engine breathes
through a custom Waldron stainless exhaust. The engine is coupled
to a rebuilt 727 automatic transmission with a deep aluminum pan.
The drive shafts are built by Tom Woods. It features rebuilt Dana
44 axles with 3.73 gears and aluminum covers. The 4x4 transfer case
has a twin stick allowing use of both wheels in the front or in the
back; a great feature for serious off-road use. The suspension is a
4"-lift Sky Jacker Soft Ride system with an RPT and revers-shackle
setup up front. The undercarriage is very detailed throughout.
Everything on this truck works as it should and it's a blast to
drive. This vehicle has been recently completely serviced and
detailed, which is fully documented with an invoice. From the MS
Classic Cars Collection. **SOLD AS A PAIR WITH LOT 764.1**
