Vehicle Description
During its short two-year lifespan, only 3,687 Carrera 3.0s were
built. Out of these, 2,564 were coupes and 1,123 were Targas. In
1977, only 365 left-hand-drive Targas were built, making this car
very rare. It sports the prestigious Carrera label exclusively used
by Porsche for some of its models and is the last time Porsche
would use the Carrera name until the mid-1980s. The Carrera
3.0-liter engine is essentially the 911 turbo engine minus the
turbocharger. It is more powerful than the 3.0-liter 911SC, with
more power, more torque and is 10% lighter. The performance numbers
are similar to the Carrera RS of the early 1970s. Finished in Grand
Prix White with black interior, it features 5-speed manual
transmission, Fuchs wheels, black Carrera script and the proper
rubber Carrera whale tail.
