Vehicle Description
This 1970 Sting Ray is equipped with a very rare big-block
454/390hp V8 engine and 4-speed manual transmission. Finished in
factory Daytona Yellow with a black vinyl interior, it's loaded
with rare options, including Rally wheels with raised white-letter
tires and sombrero caps, and removable T-tops and rear window
glass. Other options include power brakes, power steering, power
windows, rare factory air conditioning, factory alarm, tilt and
telescopic steering wheel, working fiber optics and dual rearview
mirrors. It also comes with a 1970 owner's manual and extra key. In
1970, the body design was updated with fender flares to reduce
damage that was a problem to the '68 and '69 models. Additional
changes included rectangular-shaped exhaust tips, square-mesh front
grille and clear-lens parking lamps with amber bulbs located at the
outer grille edge. The interior has a much higher-grade material
and the big-block engine was upgraded from a 427ci to 454ci. The
total production for 1970 Corvettes was 17,316, the lowest since
1962.
