This MINT 1971 Duster benefitted from a full professional frame up restoration and it retains all original panels. When it comes to bodywork on a car like this everything has to be smooth, because there really isn’t anything on the body to draw the eye away from even the smallest ripple or imperfection. The ‘impact’ of this car, or essentially what makes or breaks the car, is the shape as a whole instead of the details in the design. Step up close to this Plymouth and it becomes very clear that a lot of time and money was spent to ensure its super clean look made the right impression. Once that was accomplished, the car was prepped and bathed in Mopar ''Plum Crazy'' all the way from the spotless engine bay to the trunk jam. The result is a perfect ‘long and low' profile with factory close gaps and exceptionally straight panels.
New chrome trim is kept to a minimum to highlight the cars intentionally simplistic design. Up front, the car features a straight grille and a new chrome bumper.The entire interior is new from headliner to seat foam as well as all door panels,kick panels and door sills.
Pull the pins on the hood and reveal the incredible FRESH (less than 500 miles) RAY BARTON 572 CI Cross Ram engine (712 HP dyno sheets also comes with car) with less than 500 miles since completion. To keep everything nice and cool, a aluminum radiator complete with an electric cooling fan is coupled to the engine while a deep sump oil pan supplies plenty of friction reducing oil. This motor is SERIOUS business; it’s all there, it’s hooked up and it’s ready to play HARD ALL DAY LONG !
The bottom of the car is just as nice as the top of the car. Cosmetically; it’s beautiful, with a H pipe equipped true dual 4'' and 3'' exhaust system all the way . The under carriage is exceptionally clean with chromed and powdercoated suspension pieces adding color at all four corners.
But upon further examination, you’ll discover a narrowed Dana 60 rear end (4.10) . I don’t know about you, but that’s the kind of well-done customization that brings a smile to my face.....
