ORIGINAL ENGINE:

The original engine is listed as a 396 although in 1970 GM increased the cu. in. to 402 to comply with emissions regarding cars with 400 or larger cu. in. engines. This is L34 engine package which is the 396/350 HP engine.

This engine has been improved by adding a roller cam and roller rockers. It has bored out .60 hundredths to increase the cu. in. to 414. The cast iron original heads have been ported and polished and larger valves installed by Stiegemeier Racing Heads. This engine with an Edlebrock single plane intake and Speed Daemon 750 cfm carb and headers was able to produce 393Hp at the rear wheels of the car.

The original Quadra Jet Carb has been completely rebuilt and re-colored.
