Vehicle Description
1940 Lincoln "Continental" Convertible; first year; totally hand built by modifying a Lincoln Zephr Convertible; including sectioning and lowering of body line by 8 inches; done by the request of Edsel Ford after visiting Europe and marveling at the then current styling of European automobiles. The total production of these hand built beauty's was approximately 300; These "Continentals" are a legitimate Classic Car Club of America classic; and first vehicle to appear in the Museum of Modern Art. This vehicle is a older restoration with much documentation and paperwork and vehicle history. Recently converted to 12 V. electrics; has a RARE Edelbrock" original two carb manifold with two re-built carbs; new fuel pump and sender; detailed chrome engine bay; good vacuum operated power tan canvass top, recent tune up, working two speed "Columbia"rear end, very straight, solid body with minor paint "blems" Great car for weekend drives; solid "Full Classic" investment; out of my personal collection.
