This is one of 8,583 known DeLorean DMC-12s to have been completed.
It was sequentially the 6088th example making it a later,
mid-production example and it was completed in November of 1981,
the second most productive month of production. Assembly of the new
DMC-12 began in March of 1981 and peaked in October of that same
year with November as noted being the second highest production
month. This is a completely standard production example with the
optional 5-speed gearbox.
The DeLorean was ordered new by Gregg and Judith Marks, private
enthusiasts in Mohegan Lake, New York. It was first road-registered
by them in July of 1982. They drove the car rarely but always had
it carefully cared for and serviced until 1990 when it was taken
off the road and placed in storage. Total mileage at the time was
5,179 miles. Twenty-seven years later, Mr. Marks removed the car
from storage and had it shipped to California where he was now
residing. On arrival, he had it sent to Huntington Beach DeLorean
specialists, DeLorean Motor Company of California for complete
inspections, evaluations and follow-on through reconditioning and
servicing without consideration for time or expense. In February of
2017 the work was completed at a cost in-excess of $31,000.

This DeLorean DMC-12 is a single owner from new vehicle that has
covered just 5,258 since initial delivery 36 years ago. It is
absolutely pristine with all services current and up-to-date. The
car has never been altered, damaged or had any issues with
corrosion. It is sold complete with all original delivery items as
well as numerous other original DeLorean related items and
memorabilia. This unique vehicle can only be described simply as
"show-room-new" in all regards and is very likely the finest
surviving original example in the world.
