Stylemaster Coupe
"The 1946, 1947, and 1948 Chevrolet Stylemaster, Fleetmaster, and
Fleetline were warmed-over versions of 1942 cars, but that hardly
mattered to a car-hungry public. The 1946 Chevrolets began to roll
off assembly lines on October 3, 1945, in minuscule numbers at
first. There was a shortage of critical materials, notably sheet
steel. Production had not yet resumed its normal pace when a United
Auto Works strike was called on November 21. Assembly lines ground
to a halt. Not until March 13, 1946, was the strike settled.
Sixteen days later, Chevrolet became the first GM division to
resume production.� The 1946 Chevrolets began to roll off assembly

For sale by owner is this great 1947 Chevy Stylemaster Coupe.
Please let all the pictures load, (there are over 120) to see the
excellent condition of this classic Chevy. This is one of the few
cars that actually looks better in person, the paint is beautiful.
Restored to stock condition and completed in 2012, it� was
previously owned by Gerry Sloan, a retired pro basketball player
and acquired (in original condition) by the current owner in 1998.
The odometer shows 69,000 miles, certified by a certificate from
the State of Illinois. The 6 cylinder engine was pulled and
serviced in 1999 along with the transmission and clutch. A new
interior along with brakes, shocks, rebuilt radiator and water pump
were installed in 2000. The bumpers and trim were rechomed and the
all steel body was re-painted in 2012. The under carriage has also
been restored.� The lights, signals, horn, gauges, windows and
heater are fully operational.� The straight six engine starts right
up, runs terrific and the 3-speed manual transmission shifts clean
