Want a super cool cruiser that's ready to roll? How about one with some of the best vintage styling ever draped over two doors and four tires? If the answer is a resounding "YES", this 1937 Ford Coupe is exactly the car you've been searching for! With proven Ford power, a smooth automatic transmission and stunning aesthetics, this custom is an ideal classic for anyone who enjoys exploring the open road. If you're looking to add a little spice to your weekend routine, here's the perfect way to take Sunday drives to a whole new level!

BODYWORK/TRIM

Despite a steel-like first impression, the car's 2004 body is high-quality fiberglass supplied by Downs Industries. It takes all the proportions of a '37 Ford coupe and adds traditional modifications, like a 3-inch chop, to achieve a classic street rod look. That rigid shell wears a sleek combination of burgundy and black 2-stage that's divided by silver pinstriping. Aesthetic enhancements begin with flowing fenders, which center a streamlined grille between Ford-branded headlamps. Behind that grille, a forward-tilt hood fronts a smoked greenhouse, which reflects a polished driver's mirror. Below that mirror, shaved doors melt in to painted running boards. And behind those boards, a shaved, electronic decklid reflects a custom fuel filler and smooth LED tail lamps.

ENGINE

Between the frame rails, a fuel injected 351 provides plenty of reliable motivation. At the top of that familiar Ford mill, a custom shroud shades a lightweight Edelbrock intake. At the sides of that intake, cast iron heads cap bored and stroked internals that up displacement to a whopping 418 cubic inches. At the front of those cubes, an aftermarket distributor sequences spark between an MSD Blaster EFI coil and loomed MSD Super Conductor plug wires. Below those wires, coated block hugger headers make quick work of spent gases. At the front of those tubes, polished pulleys spin a polished alternator opposite a polished AC compressor. In front of that compressor, an efficient aluminum radiator fronts a big electric puller fan. And top-notch detailing abounds, with color-keyed valve covers and a polished breather complementing trick dipsticks and a Lokar throttle linkage.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Bottom-side, this Ford's fully finished body rides on a tough Downs chassis that's been assembled to exacting standards. The proven small block torques a 3-speed automatic transmission, which spins a Ford 9-inch axle. That sorted drivetrain pushes a fully independent front-half opposite a triangulated rear-half. Turns come courtesy of Sweet Mfg. rack-and-pinion steering. At the corners of that bagged skeleton, polished, power-assisted calipers squeeze drilled and slotted discs. At the center of the floor, 2.5-inch true-dual pipes breathe through polished glasspack-style mufflers. Under the fenders, polished Boyd Coddington wheels turn 215/45ZR17 Falken Azenis in front of 255/45ZR18 Falken Azenis. And everything, from the car's deep-sump oil pan to its stainless fuel tank, is well planned, well executed and ready to work its magic!

INTERIOR

Pop this coupe's lightweight doors and you'll find a custom leather interior that seems like a great place to pound some pavement. At the center of that cockpit, a full-length console hides controls for air ride, controls for air conditioning and buttons for four power windows in front of a simple shifter and 2-tone seats. In front of those thrones, a pinstriped dash seats a full array of digital telemetry above billet foot pedals. And in front of the driver, a polished Krist Kustoms steering wheel spins a half-wrapped rim around a polished, tilting column.
