world-famous, custom-built VW hot rod is a one-of-a-kind with over
1,000 hours of bodywork alone. Modifications include an 8-inch
unibody extension, suicide hood and doors, shaved body, doors,
hood, and dash, a split windshield, and a 1930s Ford dropped axle.
Complemented by a custom-made interior, the VW is finished in
custom Planet Color paint with gold flake. Other highlights include
disc brakes, side exhaust, custom Porsche steering. Porsche 914
motor with hydraulic lifters and a Weber carb with Porsche 911 fan
and custom fan shroud. Motor has less than 500 miles. Riding on
52-spoke stainless steel wheels, Das Rod is a multiple magazine
feature car and prolific show winner. \r\n\r\nMajor awards won
