was launching horse power bombs in all directions trying
desperately to lead the pack.... Doctor Olds had been pumping hard
on the 455 cubic inches available in the 442....Chevrolet launched
their explosive 454 motor where it would do the most damage....
available in the midsize Chevelle and the Corvette and the El
Camino wow what a line up !!!!! Buick wanted a piece of the pie
that Chevrolet Pontiac and Oldsmobile were devouring.... and they
were bound and determined to take it.....\r\nThe midsize offered by
Buick was the sleek lined well equipped Skylark Gran Sport
available with a 455 cu inch motor . A stage 1 and 2 were
available.......\r\nThe base car was rated at 360 horsepower....
the stage 1 package was available by order from the factory and
stage 2 was a dealer installed package of race car parts that is
extremely rare and most of those stage 2 cars were campaigned in
the NHRA ....if you find one buy it!!!!!!\r\nThis car decodes
correctly by the Sloan /Longway Museum ...... color and equipment
are correct and this car can be described as a survivor in
exceptional condition when considering its age...... this car is 46
years old in October 2016........ I think it is almost
spectacular..... fire red with white factory vinyl top and pearl
white interior, 4-speed, console , p/steering , p/brakes , am/fm
with rear speakers , white walls g78-14 , positraction diff , rally
ride control package available on GS 455 only , factory custom seat
belt package -shoulder belts , tinted w/shield , convenience group
trunk and mirror map light, instrument group inc.tachometer and
last but not least the rally steering wheel....... I believe this
car to be a great investment....... priced at market.......
