contact us for more information.\r\n\r\nThis car is a fresh,
frame-off restored 1965 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III convertible. It
is two-toned red with white sides. The red is Porsche Guards Red
which is as close to the original as possible. The white is Old
English White with a matching color Sunfast convertible top and
boot. The interior is bone white Connolly leather with red piping
and Karvel red carpeting. The dash is beautiful English burl wood
with a locking glove box and original Smith instruments speedo,
tach, fuel gauge, water temp and oil pressure. It\'s also equipped
with a heater, defroster and roll-up windows. The steering wheel is
a three-spoke wooden Moto- Lita unit. The trunk is lined with
beautiful, correct Armacord in black. The engine is a six cylinder,
150 HP with S.U. carburetor and has a four speed manual
transmission with overdrive. The car is also equipped with power
brakes, disc on front and drums on back. The wheels are 72 spoke
chrome wheels with Vredestein tires. This was a true barn find in
upstate New York - a complete car, except for a bad frame, to later
be married with a good frame and shrouds, and ultimately to become
a 10 year on and off again restoration. All major chrome parts were
re-chromed by Industrial Plating of Seattle, a major supplier of
Boeing aircraft parts. Engine overhauled and rebuilt, including
upgraded rear crank oil seal, by Action Auto of Seattle. Oil filter
and canister are original. 4-speed manual transmission and
overdrive also rebuilt. Brand new - made in England - S.U.
carburetors followed by original radiator upgraded to duel core for
extra coolant. Steering box and idol arm box also rebuilt. Complete
new tie rods as well as wheel bearings. All suspension rebuilt by
Apple Hydraulics. Rebuilt original brake booster and master
cylinder, and stainless steel brake lines. Upgraded electronic S.U.
fuel pump with original fuel tank restored by RENU. Completely new,
correct, braided wiring harness with all new components. Generator,
starter and fan motor all original and rebuilt.\r\n\r\nAll original
glass was resurfaced by Eastwood Corporation 3M glass refurbishing
process. Interior items were supplied by Heritage of Vancouver,
British Columbia and consist of seats in high-grade bone leather
with red piping as well as a bone Sunfast convertible top and boot,
followed by correct Karvel red carpet. All Smiths instruments were
rebuilt by Nisonger of New York. Wheels are 72 Dayton wire wheels
with Vredestein tires. In testament to its excellence, this
outstanding Big Healey was awarded Best Foreign Car honors at the
16th Annual Edmonds Classic Car Show in 2016 - out of more than 300
cars entered.
