This beautiful 1964 Malibu, GM’s first year for the A body, is not a frame off resto/mod. The body and paint in the attached photos are exactly the same as the day I bought the car, so my opinion at that time was that no frame off restoration and modification was needed. I did, however, at the end of all the work, spend a fair amount to have the paint receive a soft sanding and then a buff and polish which brought it up to an incredible shine. Friends say it looks show-room new.

My main goal in buying the car was to turn it into a top flight American muscle car using the best “all new” parts I could find, as the list above demonstrates. Basically, everything under the hood and body is new, except for the gas tank. Today it looks fantastic, sounds fantastic, drives solid and is really fast. All work was done by Schrader’s Speed and Style Shop in Azusa, California. No expense was spared, which the owner, Mike Schrader, will confirm if serious buyers wish to speak with him. www.schradersspeedandstyleshop.com At this point, this car is an investment for the new buyer; a value that, I believe, will only go up with loving care and minor interior upgrades. Two black rear speakers have been installed but my eventual goal was to find an original AM radio and remove the speakers. I do have a new Original Parts Group, in the box, red rear deck replacement that I will send along so new owner can decide which way he/she wants to go. So why am I selling the car after all the time and money I‘ve invested? Because two months ago I stumbled upon my dream resto/mod – a 1955 Chevy Bel-Air two-door hardtop survivor car. This is the car that during my high school years the guys with money would buy used, hot rod the motor, install lowering blocks in the back and heat the front coil springs to rake the car in the front. And all I could do was stand and watch as they drove by with a pretty girl in the passenger’s seat since that kind of car was way above anything I could afford at the time. But now I can afford it. However, my new 55 Bel Air restoration/modification is absolutely a frame off project so sadly I’ll need to sell the Malibu because my spouse says “One big muscle car investment at a time.” Truthfully this Malibu will now be someone else’s gain as this incredible car is fresh and ready to go. And trust me; it is a real head-turner. People—even firemen driving to an emergency-- have stared and given me a thumbs up when passing by.

Known issues needing attention: Fuel guage is a bit erratic, amp guage disconnected because of high amperage output of new alternator, chrome film peeling off in a few small spots on body side mouldings and horn doesn't work. Aftermarket radio sits loose in dash as I've been searching for an origional used AM factory radio to keep the origional look of the car inside. Still looking.  Rubber around both vent windows needs replacing. (see picture)

In conclusion: There is no warranty implied or expressed. I’m not a dealer, just a private American muscle car enthusiast. The car is as represented above, to the best of my knowledge. There’s no conscious misrepresentation what-so-ever. Feel free to have an expert examine it before buying or just speak with Mr. Schrader, who's shop performed all the work.
