Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1967 Chevrolet II Nova
SS for purchase. After the Corvair wasn't the hit they hoped it
would be, GM needed a new "compact car" and they rushed the
production of the Chevy II with Nova being the name of the top trim
level. However, the car is commonly referred to as both names.
Unlike the Corvair, this model was much more conventional and much
better received. The SS version was introduced as the Super Sport
to compete with the V8 Falcons.
This SS was built in the second week of October in 1967 at the
Willow Run plant in Michigan. The car presents well dressed in red
over black vinyl interior with bucket seats in the front. The
non-numbers matching 350 v8 sounds very healthy and runs well, it
has a Weiand intake with a Holley 4 barrel carburetor and a MSD
coil. The block is painted chevy orange and shows well. It is kept
cool by a Harrison radiator. The engine breathes through headers
and dual exhaust. The engine is paired with a 4 speed manual shift
transmission. The engine area was dressed up with a chrome kit as
well. The rides on Cragar wheels. This car is a fun driving car
that is a rarely found body style. A true SS makes it a great
collector's item to cruise and show off! Please call or email for
more details!
