Vehicle Description
The weather has arrived and it's the time of year you start seeing
everyone having fun in their Jeeps. Are you one of the many who
want to join in on the fun, but want something a little bit more
unique and rare, that you won't see at every intersection? Have a
look at this 1979 Silver Anniversary Jeep CJ-5. It provides the
classic vehicle nod with undeniable Jeep fun!
These days it seems like a lot of the Jeeps we see on the road are
covered in bright and flashy paint. While those can be fun, colors
like the correct Quicksilver Metallic on this limited edition Jeep
look absolutely fantastic! Silver has always been a color that ages
well, and being a new paint job on this one, you can count on it
remaining timeless for many more years. This Anniversary model was
produced to celebrate 25 years of the Jeep CJ-5 model and came in
very limited numbers. It is believed that less than 50 survive
today and is registered in The Silver Registry. One feature of this
model is the Renegade accent striping that adorns the panels of
this Jeep. Continuing with the silver theme, these bold, silver
graphics add a cool vibe to the overall styling and definitely
remind you what period this trail blazer comes from! When the
weather takes a turn for the worst, the black vinyl top will
protect you from the elements should you need it.
Enjoy a view of simplicity from inside the cabin. The clean and
solid floors are topped with bucket seats up front and a bench seat
in the rear covered in tight, black vinyl. The body matched dash
has all the gauges you need to keep exploring on and off the roads,
including a volt meter, oil pressure and tachometer. The long gear
selector makes gear shifts easy and there is a 2WD/4WD selector to
the right of it within easy reach. The three spoke steering wheel
provides a good grip for the driver, while the front passenger gets
easy access to the grab bar when things get bumpy. Heat and defrost
is available on demand and all passengers are protected by the
sturdy padded roll bar.
Under the hood this Jeep features a period-correct 258 cubic inch
inline six cylinder engine that is mated to a 3-speed manual
transmission. This stout powerplant is mounted in a very clean
engine bay that has been recently detailed. It appears the air
filter has been upgraded to help the engine breath easier through
the Weber carb, but everything else remains fairly stock. The
engine has also been covered in what seems to be the correct AMC
blue paint. Underneath, things are so clean that it's hard to
believe if this Jeep has tackled anything more than a driveway and
a lift. That bright blue oil pan really stands out against the
fresh black undercarriage. There are disc brakes up front that stop
the new 31x10.50 tires, and you can rest assured that the hardware
this Jeep flaunts is ready to handle any duties you throw at
it!
With classic good looks and collectability, wrapped up in a fun
package that all Jeeps provide, what's not to love? If you're ready
to give a nod to all the other Jeep drivers on the road, don't miss
this opportunity! Call today!
