Binder has landed at MotoeXotica Classic Cars; this one is a 1958
A120 three-quarter ton 4x4 pickup. Finished in a very handsome
metallic green with black bumpers, black wheels and dark stained
wood, this recently restored 4x4 International totally looks the
part! This particular example received a body-off-frame restoration
recently. Its Metallic Hunter Green exterior is beautifully
finished and is in very good condition. The truck's windows are all
in very good condition, clear and intact. The truck's lights are in
good order and clear, too. This Binder, with its 114-inch
wheelbase, rolls on 285/75R16 radials at all four corners and the
wheels are all-black steelies. The body panels are straight and
solid, including the stepside cargo bed with its wooden floor and
swing-down wooden tailgate. The truck's black bumpers are in good
order, as is the driver's side-mounted spare tire snug in its black
jacket. Powering this truck is International's Black Diamond 240
CID inline six-cylinder engine, mated to a four-speed manual
transmission and equipped with 4x4 with low and high transfer case
and lock out hubs. Referred to as International's All Wheel Drive
system. Inside, the tan vinyl bench seat is in very good shape,
while the complementary tan carpet is in good condition. The tan
headliner is in good shape while the handsome mid century green and
white instrument metal instrument panel is in very good condition,
too. The green and white inner door panels complement the dashboard
and look good. The original four-spoke steering wheel is in good
condition, as is the mirror glass. The horn, fuel gauge,
temperature gauge, speedometer and odometer are inoperable. This is
a radio delete model. TheInternational A-Series(or A-line)
replaced theS-Seriesin April 1957. The name stood for
"Anniversary", as 1957 marked the 50th or golden anniversary of
truck production byInternational-Harvester.It was largely a
re-bodied version of the light and medium S-Series truck,
incorporating a wide cab and more integrated fenders. The new lower
design necessitated a slight hump in the cabin floor. The stylish
new front end, deleted running boards, and panoramic windshield
brought the design more up to date for the later half of the
fifties on this, the first all-new design to appear since Ted Ornas
was put in charge of design in 1953. The hood was now hinged in the
rear, rather than being a lift-off unit. The parking lights were
mounted above the headlights. This truck is currently located at
our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the
odometer shows 2,582 miles since restored. It is sold as is, where
is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND
