For your consideration, my 1966 Ford Galaxie 500XL Convertible. I purchased it last year right after a comprehensive restoration. Here are the details: BODY Entire body taken down to bare metal, sanded, 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of paint, 3 coats of clear coat. The underside, wheel wells, and engine compartment were sanded, primed and painted. Trunk is painted correctly with spatter paint with correct trunk mat. Suspension is excellent and tight, with all new parts front and rear. New gas tank & sending unit and guard. XL grill was rechromed and polished. Has adjustable driver's side mirror and passenger side mirror (not yet installed). All glass is excellent with new tinted windshield, new fuzz window tracks and rubbers, and all new weather stripping. Beautiful high quality European style canvas top with new glass back window. All power top mechanics have been replaced: pump, hydraulic lines and shocks/rams. Custom Boot in matching dark blue. All brakes have been replaced: shoes, wheel cylinders, brake hoses and lines, and new dual master cylinder and booster. New emergency brake cables as well. New tires with less than 700 miles. INTERIOR Interior is all new, seats rebuilt and new tri-tone upholstery, new door panels, dash in excellent condition, and new sun visors. Correct wood grain Galaxie steering wheel, new shift mechanics and shift indicator, also the vacuum gauge. Working A/C system gone through, converted to R-134, new hoses, compressor, vacuum motor, blows cold. DRIVE TRAIN 390 ci Big Block engine completely gone through, all new hoses and belts, U joints, new water pump, rebuilt carburetor. New true dual exhaust system, really sounds great! Car includes: JVC stereo/radio with remote, dual voice coil speakers, one under the dash and the other in the rear seat. A paging alarm system protects the car from intruders. This is a high quality driver that you can get out and enjoy. No problems driving wherever you want to go! And obviously zero rust.
