the public in nearly three decades!� Loaded with all the factory
options, it continues to be one of the most unmolested, well
preserved example ever�revisit the market!� Fitted with full power
accessories, air conditioning, cruise control, Autronic Eye,
E-Z-Eye glass, 6-way power seat, power trunk release, door edge
guards, fog lamps, and more!! As the 1950's nearly the end of the
decade, the post war design from GM had really come to a head with
aircraft influence being at the peak of their features! No doubt
that Cadillac took the theme to new levels with the flamboyant and
seriously elegant 1959 Cadillac body lines! A new front end now had
a prominent brow stretching from the headlamps through the hood
line, along with distinctive, twin horizontal chrome bumpers. It
would be out back at the rear end where this car would earn its
automotive merits forever! The extended rear fins off the quarter
panels, highlighted with quad bullet style tail lamps, would make
history as the largest GM would ever offer! Cadillac would produce
just over 142,000 vehicles in 1959, but only 12,250 would be
Fleetwood Sixty Specials representing the rarest of all 4-door
models offered! We are very proud to offer this 1959 Cadillac
Fleetwood 60 Special Hardtop Sedan finished in nearly all original,
factory applied Dunstan Blue & Dover White roof exterior paint with
an all original, preserved Blue cloth & leather interior! Under the
hood�rests its original, numbers matching 390ci V8 producing 325
horsepower mated to the factory original 1959-date coded
Hydra-Matic automatic transmission and 3.21:1 rear axle ratio. This
car has only two owners from new, and comes loaded with nearly all
the factory options including air conditioning, heater/defrost,
power windows & vent windows, power door locks, 6-way power driver
seat, E-Z-Eye window glass & 3-way rearview mirror, Autronic Eye
automatic headlight dimmer, power trunk release & pull down
feature, AM pushbutton radio with power antenna, electric clock,
cruise control, front & rear interior courtesy lights, hood & truck
lights, rear fender skirts, rear spare tire cover, door edge
guards, interior carpeted floor mats, front accessory trash can &
tissue dispenser, and fog lamps! This example is in full functional
capacity in all respects! Every interior & exterior light, electric
clock, factory radio, trunk release & power pull feature, all power
options, air conditioning, etc. are all in excellent working
condition! It has recently been through our shop and received some
attention to the air conditioning that included a new compressor
clutch, conversion to R134a components, new battery, new valve
cover gaskets, fresh fluids & filters, power steering box seals,
all new brake wheel cylinders, and other minor improvements. Prior
to its arrival it has been fitted with a new exhaust system, new
Vogue whitewall/yellow stripe radial tires, and new shocks at all
four corners. It remains an impeccably well cared for example that
has always been garage kept from day one! It retains nearly all of
its factory applied Magic Mirror acrylic lacquer paint, with only a
few areas that required touching up here and there, but absolutely
rust free. The chrome and bright work are beautiful! Once inside
the car, one would have a very difficult time finding any
criticisms. The upholstery, dash pad, steering wheel, carpeting,
door panels, and headliner are simply in extraordinary condition
overall! You can even�see factory inspection stampings still
present on the firewall and air conditioning compressor. Provided
with this Cadillac will be the original owner's manual & accessory
booklet, all original spare tire, changing tools, wheel wedge, tire
cover, carpeted floor mats, and added accessory air horns under the
hood. You will be hard pressed to find another original 1959 Sixty
