This 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner is for sale in our Louisville KY
showroom. By 1968 the muscle car market was getting saturated with
a bunch of high priced, fully optioned, luxury machines. MOPAR felt
it was time to get back to the basics which is exactly what they
would do with the release of the Road Runner. With a catchy horn
and the little WB's character affixed to the side of the car people
would recognize it a mile away. This beauty has had some things
done that weren't exactly available in 68. The first and probably
most noticeable is the Plum Crazy paint that is guaranteed to get
any MOPAR fan's blood pumping. Under the hood is the classic 440
Magnum that is guaranteed to get that blood flowing. Rebuilt and
with roughly 500 miles on it fresh is the word that comes to mind.
Matched up to a 4-speed transmission this is the definition of
classic muscle if there ever was one. With the 8 3/4 rear-end
putting power to the ground this Roadrunner what many consider the
ultimate MOPAR drivetrain. Open the door and the classic bench seat
is covered in period correct vinyl. With seating that will hold 6
comfortably it's easy to see why these cars were so much fun. If
you have wanted to own a great MOPAR but not have to spend the
kid's college fund this Roadrunner would be a great compromise.
