Vehicle Description
It's not just that you're looking at a real-deal code-44 1969
Oldsmobile 442 hardtop coupe that's priced quite nicely... It's
that you're looking at a stellar classic American muscle machine
that also has some nice upgrades for show and go.
The Oldsmobile 442 is on a dual mission to provide performance and
luxury, and this coupe seems to do it best. There has been a small
fortune invested in sanding down the body and re-applying the
factory-correct Aztec Gold. The new modern clearcoat finish and a
professional hand applying it means this golden classic shines like
true precious metal every time the sunlight finds this Olds. And
while you think you're looking at a vinyl roof, it's actually the
kind of tough liner paint usually found in truck beds (one would
never know). So you get the appearance and texture of this premium
package, but it has a unique durability that will keep it
worry-free for years to come. On the aggressive side of this 442,
hood pins and dual black sports stripes really let you know this
car is a contender. But above all, you want this Olds because of
its style. They did amazing things in '69, like the trim line that
starts at the headlights and highlights all the great curves of the
Holiday Hardtop's sheetmetal. We know you love the way the trunk,
taillights, and rear bumper are all part of one interwoven
design.
The black interior is pure Oldsmobile with some great upgrades. For
example, the premium bucket seats with vented inserts are correct
for '69, but the comfortable center console in-between with cup
holders is a great modern update. The door panels, carpeting, and
headliner are all quite nice, and so you'll gladly take up to four
family and friends with you for the ride. But even if you're
driving solo, this Olds is still a lot of fun. You'll love slipping
behind the upgraded wood and chrome steering wheel that radiates
from within the dark interior. It also gives you a clear view of
the factory gauges, the auxiliary readout trio, and the large
AutoMeter tach w/shift light. These features remind you that while
there is a nice AM/FM/CD stereo (w/Bluetooth), your favorite
soundtrack will always be when you twist the key and here this 442
roar.
Under the hood is exactly what you want to see - a big 455
cubic-inch Rocket V8. Thanks to the wide manifold deck, you can
easily spot that this motor has been given some nice upgrades. This
includes a hotter cam, MSD ignition, an Edelbrock intake, and a
Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor. The power makes a great rumble
as long-tube headers connect to the dual exhaust (Yup...400+ cubic
inches, four-barrel carburetor, and dual exhaust - it truly lives
up to the '69 Olds 4-4-2 standard.) The stout TH400 three-speed
automatic connects to 12-bolt 3.45 rear end. Even with this power
package, the dual luxury and performance nature of an Olds always
shines through. After all, no matter how much power it's putting
down, it still has all-day usability of an Oldsmobile. This comes
from features such as power steering, front disc brakes, and the
grip of modern Hankook tires on those shiny 15-inch Unique
wheels.
All the best iconic pieces mixed in with some great upgrades - and
it's all on a real-deal 442! A total package like this never stays
idle for long, so don't miss out. Call now!!
