Ideal for all-around Vintage auto Enjoyment
Starting from the TA in 1936, the MG T-Series opened a whole new
world of affordable enjoyment for auto enthusiasts. The TF,
unveiled in late 1953, represented a major evolutionary step for MG
with its repositioned headlamps, new bonnet design, sloping hood
line and raked radiator. TF 1500 has proven to be the most
desirable of the T-Series cars as it marked the end of the series
with more power and better handling. MG aficionados hold the model
in very high regard, as they believe it represents the final
evolution of MG's iconic and classic design.
Outfitted in the ideal British livery of BRG over Tan leather
upholstery, this particular MG TF benefits from a nicely mellowed
older restoration. Today, it makes for an excellent driver or
touring contender. The car shows evidence of much care and
attention to detail and although the cosmetics have slightly aged
it still remains a very attractive example. This example is
striking in its attire, complete with tan weather gear including
folding top, a full set of side curtains, boot cover and luggage
rack. Its correct "matching numbers" XPEG 1500cc engine performs
very well. The undercarriage has been thoroughly detailed and shows
the quality of its previous restoration. Ideal for all around fun
and enjoyment, this TF1500 represents one of the most desired
post-war MGs and truly embodies the essence of British motoring at
a fraction of the cost of its counterparts.
