assembled on June 3, 1966, this 1966 Corvette L79 Convertible shows
what looks to be a newer body-off restoration, and is in very nice
condition, coming in the desirable Blue/Blue/White color
combination. Unlike 90% of other midyears that have side exhaust,
this actually is a factory side exhaust car. This car's odometer
reads 40,780 miles, which are documented as actual by a 2013 Ohio
title This car's paint is vg, looking to be newer, with a stunning,
deep shine. Convertible top looks to be newer as well, and is vg
with a vg-exc window. Every piece of exterior glass in this car
shows a correct date code, including the windshield. Passenger
front bumper shows a newer finish, and is vg> all other bumpers
show an older or original finish, and are in overall good
condition. Exterior door handles show a somewhat newer finish, and
are vg. Taillights look to be newer, and are vg>
weatherstripping looks to be recent, and is vg-exc. Knockoff style
wheels look to be recent as well, and are also vg-exc with vg-exc
spinners. Coker Classic goldline radial tires show nearly full
tread depth remaining at an average of 10/32nds remaining. The
interior of this 1966 Corvette L79 Convertible is just as nice as
the outside, showing vg-exc recent seats, door panels, carpet,
gauges, sill plates, glovebox lid, and center console. Recent
teakwood steering wheel is exc, and the dash pads are in good
conditions. Correct GM seatbelts are in place, and are in overall
good condition. Correct appearing AM/FM radio is also present. The
numbers matching engine in this car shows original casting date May
11, 1966, and final assembly date May 18, 1966. Correct air
cleaner, carburetor, intake manifold, valve covers, exhaust
manifolds, alternator, hoses, hose clamps, brake master cylinder,
and ignition shielding are all in place, and the engine compartment
has been nicely detailed. Suspension appears to have been recently
rebuilt. Frame is clean, solid, and rust-free. Rear-end shows a
3.55 posi suffix, and a March 12, 1965 date code. This car has been
fully serviced, and all instrument gauges, lights, turn signals,
brakes, engine, transmission and rear-end are all in good operating
