Vehicle Description
This 1965 Dodge Coronet has the right combination of originality,
upgrades, and attitude that makes mid-60s Mopars so special. From
the handsome styling, to the unique interior, to the 383 V8, this
neat hardtop is a seldom-seen Dodge that delivers performance and
big car comfort in one sleek package.
The Dark Turquoise Metallic seen here is a professional respray of
a 1965-correct color. So you get the benefit of looking right for
the era, but now with a standout shine. Its luster is perfect for
highlighting Chrysler's famous cantilever styling. Plus, there's
added attraction that comes from the well-defined panels. The doors
open and close with authority, and everything lines up rather well.
Just as crucial to highlighting this Mopar is the brightwork, which
is all present and quite nice. It helps feature the extra-wide
front end, angular hardtop, and runs the full length of this coupe.
It all has a very period-correct style, except for those large
17-inch Rocket Racing alloys. They don't look out of place on this
classic, but they certainly hint at some extra power.
The interior is a high-quality presentation two-tone where the
darker elements on the seats seem to match nicely with the exterior
color. The brighter turquoise that dominates the rest of the
interior has a level of freshness that tells you there was more
investment here. The factory steering wheel and the big bright dash
panel are Mopar works of art. And while this is all
factory-correct, the trio of auxiliary gauges are another hint
there's something special under the hood.
This was at the dawn of the muscle car era, and this one celebrates
it correctly. 1965 was the first year the 383 cubic-inch big block
V8 was offered in the Coronet, and so we're happy to see a 1960s
block in this coupe. It's presented nicely with the painted inner
fenders, tidy wire setup, and Mopar valve covers & air topper. And
when you look beyond the style, this one also has the performance
substance of a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer
intake, MSD ignition, and Hedman headers that add more power as
they also contribute to the rumble of the dual exhaust. Out on the
road you're going to feel plenty of power, but there's comfort,
too. The power steering, three-speed automatic transmission, and
modern tires all contribute to an overall easy cruising feeling in
this muscle machine.
This is the vintage Dodge that does it all. It has a great
appearance inside and out; it has a powerful V8 under the hood; and
it's available right now at a great price. So you know this is a
great deal that won't stick around here for long. Call today!!!
