Vehicle Description
On the outside this just looks like a beautifully built 1965 Shelby
Cobra, but then everybody else out there starts wondering why you
can smoke them all. That's because this has a fully independent
suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and a powerful 427 V8 pumping
out 550 hp to make this sleek machine also an all-around
performance king.
The paint alone instantly makes this one a shining star. The black
cherry color can look nearly as dark as midnight in the shadows,
but once the sunlight hits it, some deep red tones begin to radiate
like this Cobra is out for blood. ERA knows how to build these
replicas correctly, and since there is less than 16,500 on the
whole build, the fit and finish on this particular car is worthy of
all the extra scrutiny it's likely to get at shows. And people will
truly love all the details from the iconic dual racing stripes, to
those iconic Halibrand wheels. This one even carries the Lucas PL
headlights as a true nod to AC.
Curvy bucket seats look right, and more importantly, hold you in
place during aggressive driving. They did a lot of work in this
replica to give it that authentic feel, ranging from the
wood-rimmed Cobra logo steering wheel, to the forward-canted
Mustang shifter for the manual transmission. So, you'll love this
one right down to the full Smiths gauge package that correctly
features the reversed speedometer in the center. Racing lap belts,
a fire extinguisher, and a folding roof that snaps in place even
comes on this very accurate package. But even with all of these
period-correct extras, we really know the reason why you love this
Cobra is because it provides that perfect driving feeling. You're
at one with the road and have the wind in your hair... and oh yeah,
the throaty exhaust keeps the adrenaline in your veins.
You'll love showing off all the polished components under the hood
and how the hood scoop genuinely feed the air grabber. So sure, the
engine bay has that perfect shiny appearance that will certainly
attract crowds... but this is a Cobra, and it's primary mission is
to be the fastest sports car around. That's why beneath the flash
is the substance of a 427 V8 built for some serious performance.
It's a blueprinted and balanced '66 NASCAR side oiler block with a
428 Ford steel stoker crank (actual displacement closer to 452
cubic inches.) It has go-fast goodies such as a Manley stainless
steel valves, Hayes aluminum flywheel, fly cut 13:1 pistons with
10.25:1 compression, police interceptor connecting rods, Crane
Fireball camshaft, MSD ignition, Griffin radiator, and a Holley 750
CFM four-barrel carburetor. It's a total package rated at 550
horsepower, and you better believe the wicked rumble of the Borla
dual exhaust lets everyone know about your power superiority (if
you're looking for more excitement near your ears, the sale also
comes with headers and two sets of side pipes.) You are in complete
control of this big powerhouse and its thunderous sound thanks to
the close ratio Ford four-speed top loader transmission. And that's
been reinforced with a RAM 2,200 pressure plate, Hayes clutch, and
a Lakewood scattershield bell housing. But power is nothing without
control. That's why you also have a fully independent suspension
that features a Jaguar limited-slip rear end, Spax adjustable
coilovers, and four-wheel disc brakes.
Complete with maintenance records, owner's manual, and valuable
extra components, you know what it would cost to have this done
today, and this one is barely broken in! So don't miss out on this
big block speed machine. Call today!!!
