This is a completely frame-off, restored 1951 Chevy truck with 136 miles on it since its restoration. Yes, 136 miles! It would make sense to just say completely restored, but as we all know, that means different things to different people. Let me be clear, this '51 Chevy truck has been taken down to the absolute bare frame, every component on the rust free frame, cab, floors, bed, etc has been addressed. That is to say, every component on this truck has been restored, rebuilt, replaced, painted, plated, powder-coated and cleaned. It is truly a new 1951 Chevy truck. If you like these '47-'53 Chevy's, and who doesn't, this is about as good as it gets!. The truck has been restored about 10 years and has only traveled 136 miles. The truck was finished in its original color of Fathom Green, but was upgraded to a base/coat, clear/coat with a very subtle gold pin-striping around the entire cab. This theme was very tastefully carried out to the original powder-coated wheels. The interior was finished off in a bronze/copper color that include the dash, the jams and the doors.
The door panels and head liner match this paint as well and adds a nice touch of class to this wonderful truck. The rebuilt 235 starts up so easily, I almost think is doesn't need a starter. :') The rebuilt transmission shifts nice and easy, and the rebuilt brake system works great! The bed is clean and undamaged and has new oak wood planks and color matched bed strips. All of the glass is new as is the weather stripping and felts. This truck has been upgraded to a 12 volt electrical system which just adds a more user friendly, and drive-ability factor to the truck. In addition to the new wiring system, some of the other nice upgrades include an electric wiper system, a cool looking, nicely functioning heater system, seat belts to accommodate three in the cab and a period correct turn signal system. The way this truck is set up, you can take it to a car show or cruise-in, maybe put your business logo on the doors and advertise your business or even daily drive it. If you're considering a classic truck, and like the factory original look, I think you would be hard pressed to find a better example with the user-friendly upgrades this '51 has to offer.
