For sale in our Chicago showroom is this nifty 1941 Plymouth
Express truck. Powered by a bulletproof 201 cubic inch "L-head"
inline- 6 cylinder engine, this truck has plenty of miles left in
it. Changing gears is the duty of the driver, and is very simple
thanks to the Synchro-Shift 3-speed manual transmission. The '41
model year saw subtle, but notable changed to the Plymouth line of
trucks. First and foremost, the engine received a bump in power to
a respectable 82 horsepower, making scooting around town or hauling
materials in the bed a breeze. The headlights were now sealed-beam
and moved from hugging the front grille further outward to sitting
on the crown of the fenders, making a wider field of view at night.
The interior is minimalistic, but very cozy. The dark saddle seats
contrast well with the bright red paint, and the chrome shines as
bright as new. The shifter is set right in the perfect place for
casual driving, and pushes cleanly into every gear. The front
window pops open for some extra breeze on the hot days, and a
vacuum-operated fan clears the condensation on the colder days.
This truck was made to work, and it hasn't punched out yet! With
the Plymouth line of trucks is becoming less and less common, many
of these have been over-restored, and driving one would be like
destroying a piece of irreplaceable history. This example is ready
to be driven with no excuses to take you anywhere you want to go.
Options include: Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, and Steel Wheels.
