Today this ’71 Toronado remains completely original with 42,461 miles on the odometer. As you can see by the condition of this beauty, this was the pride and joy of a collector. When you inspect the car, it will be obvious that this is the correct mileage... The pedal pad and interior wear is minimal. The truck looks original and has the full spare tire!
This car is getting very rare because 1971 was the first year for this body style and it's still a stunning body style 46 years later. It's also one of the few American Made Classic cars that came from the factory with front wheel drive. This Toronado has great looks and GREAT power as well. There are few of these left on the roads for sure and as a result, these vehicles have a strong group of followers, any of which would be pleased to own this one. The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. The car also sports the original Oldsmobile stainless steel wheel covers. This vintage luxury car with Muscle car power is a good investment opportunity and it is priced right. This vehicle is in very good condition from top to bottom and from front to back. It will not disappoint someone looking for a good example of a sought after and hard to find collector car which is not seen at every stop light.
This car has its original paint. Yes, there are some beauty marks, but the body is straight, and the paint still shines nicely. The vinyl top is in great condition also, with no bubbles beneath it. The chrome and stainless are both straight and shiny. Everything is where it should be with no pieces missing. The original chrome and stainless on this car is BEAUTIFUL including the ORIGINAL front and rear chrome bumpers.
The interior is also in very good condition. The upholstery shows minimal wear. The dash is not cracked. All seat belts are in place, including shoulder belts for both front and rear passengers. The interior chrome still shines bright and the tilt/telescope steering wheel works perfectly. All the features function: The air conditioning is cold, the power windows and seat move properly, the Cruise Control works and the radio plays. The doors lock via key, the remote trunk release works, the lights all work and the jack resides in the trunk.
This BEAUTY has what appears to be the STRONG, ORIGINAL GROUND POUNDING (350 HP) 455 CID V8 in it and running extremely well; sounds good too with the factory dual exhaust system. The 455 starts and runs great. New free-flowing exhaust gives it a powerful and pleasing tone. All you need to do is keep gas in the tank. The Toronado was an expensive model. The owners typically had the means to keep their cars maintained, detailed and garage kept. In this case, it gets even better because it was driven sparingly!
