Pontiac Catalina Convertible. This beautiful car underwent a
3 year, complete, frame-up, chrome off, bare metal restoration
which was completed in 2011. The car has been well taken care
of and driven sparingly to cars show and cruise ins ever since.
The current owner (right here in Houston, TX) has owned this car
since 2006 and purchased it from the 2nd owner who lived in
Loveland, Colorado. The 2nd owner owned the car for 27
years.
This car retains it's original, born with, WA block. It now
has Factory #077 Heads, #068 Cam and Long Branch exhaust manifolds
that were added during restoration. The car was originally a
3-speed manual but now has a 4-speed manual transmission which is
correct for the car but is not the original transmission.
The car was repainted in it's original Montero Red paint and the
lines are very good on this car. Much attention was paid to
detail during the restoration of this car and the trim work and
chrome work is very, very nice.
The car originally came with a white convertible top but now has a
black convertible top which looks brand new. The interior was
fully restored to it's original black interior as listed on the PHS
documentation shown in the pictures below.
The car has power steering, 8 lug wheels and is setup with a 1966
Tri-Power configuration. The car was not originally a
Tri-Power car but the current setup fits the car very nicely and
the car simply drives great.
The power convertible top works great and the parade boot is in
excellent condition as well and looks practically brand
new.
