Vehicle Description
1967 Chevrolet Corvette L71 Roadster For Sale - Frame Off Restored,
Fully Documented LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1967
Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 427/435HP. The 1967 Corvette Sting
Ray was the last Corvette of the second generation, and five years
of refinements made it the best of the line. The 427/435HP L71
Sting Ray would be the high-water mark of Corvette performance and
refinement for the C2 series of cars. Changes were modest with five
smaller front fender vents replacing the three larger ones and the
flat-finish rockers conferred a lower profile. New was a single
backup light mounted above the license plate and the previous
models' wheel covers were exchanged for the new design. Interior
alterations included revised upholstery and the handbrake moved
from beneath the dash to between the seats. The 427/435hp came
standard from the factory with the Holley triple two-barrel
carburetor arrangement called Tri-Power. The rare L71 engine
package cost the original buyer an extra $437.10 on the GM order
form. This 1967 Corvette was produced on September, 30, 1966 at the
St. Louis Assembly Plant and was ordered with the optional solid
lifter L71 427/435HP engine, 4-speed close ratio manual
transmission, Positraction rear end, rare and unique speed warning,
black vinyl covered auxiliary hardtop, push button AM/FM radio, and
finished in its factory delivered Sunfire Yellow exterior. It was
then shipped to Appleway Motors in Dishman, Washington where it
would be sold new. A complete nut and bolt frame off, no expense
spared full restoration of this Corvette was completed by marque
expert Nabor Brothers of Houston, Texas. This factory L71 Corvette
is powered by the numbers matching 427/435HP engine, and numbers
matching 4-speed close ratio transmission. The redline bias ply
tires look classic and the striking contrast of the Black Stinger,
interior and hardtop make this 'Vette a real eye catcher. The car
would remain in a single private collection since completion being
used very sparingly and only stored in a climate controlled
environment. Accompanying this beautiful example of one of the
ultimate and most collectible Corvettes is the NCRS Shipping Data
Report, and the Original NCRS Validated Tank Sticker. Other
documents included are invoices from the restoration, '67 Corvette
Owner's Manual, AM/FM Radio Operating Instruction Booklet, and
Radio Tag. With the combination of the optional L71 powerhouse
engine, the 4-speed close ratio transmission, being a convertible
with a factory hardtop, and having a world class complete frame off
restoration, plus verified factory original documentation makes
this an extremely rare and collectable example. Additional Details:
