This is a great looking Camaro pro street that is reported to have
been built with attention to showing, so it has "never been raced
or beat on." That rings true with the finish in House of Color
candy red and accented by painted silver stripes in factory-style.
The engine is immediately recognized as being a powerful unit with
the supercharger protruding through the cut hood. The engine is a
Nyes Racing supercharged 565-cid, 1,000-hp Dart "M"-block V-8 with
J.E. pistons, Brodix heads, Quick fuel 950 carbs, plus an Eagle
crank and rods. The supercharger is a 1071 by Blower Shop; it's an
all-billet blower with Teflon tips. The 1,000 horsepower is
attainable by the use of 93-octane pump fuel. The rest of the
drivetrain consists of a Rossler Powerglide transmission with
Debeneder case and a Ford 9-in. braced rear end with Mark Williams
aluminum center section and gears. The owner reports the Camaro is
6.0 NHRA certified. The exhaust is ported through the front quarter
panels for an all-business look that is backed by a healthy engine
note.
A Wiz Bang chrome-moly, round tube chassis is at the core of this
brute with a rollcage, Strange axles, anti-roll, Strange strut
front end, removable front end and the decklid has hinges for
easier access to the 10-gallon fuel tank. At the back is a spoiler
extension that lies flat, wheelie bar and a Simpson drag chute.
Inside you'll find all lights work including self-canceling turn
signals, plus power windows and Simpson seatbelts. This pro street
Camaro will be a hit at custom shows and will certainly command
attention just by firing up.
