first time since purchased new, this completely original, low-low
mile, one family owned, very remarkable 1985 Nissan 720 King Cab
Deluxe Pickup. The truck was purchased new at Mills Nissan of
Willoughby Ohio on August 28, 1985 by a gentleman who did not
actually need another vehicle, rather thought it would be
convenient to have a pick up if needed. The truck was always kept
inside, always routinely serviced, and always cared for by the
original owner until his passing and ownership was transferred to
his daughter. Today, after 32 years of responsible ownership and
being driven a total of just 24052 documented original miles since
new, this Nissan 720 King Cab Pickup remains in amazing original
condition. The truck retains all of its original factory Butternut
Yellow paint over its all original Deluxe optioned interior. The
truck was accessorized with a sunroof, coordinating bed topper, bed
mat, a stereo, and bug guard shortly after purchase. This truck is
amazing in all areas, as the original interior is near perfect, the
original Butternut Yellow paint still shows excellent, the original
decals remain wonderful as does the original coordinating topper.
The bed appears unused and the undercarriage remains completely
original and untouched. Standard and optional features include
Nissans proven 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine, 2 barrel carb with 2
stage automatic choke, optional 3 speed automatic transmission with
lock-up torque converter, electronic ignition, power brakes, power
steering with tilt column, independent front torsion bar
suspension, solid rear axle, optional dual exterior side mirrors,
reclining bucket seats, bi-level heater / defroster with 4 speed
fan, rear jump seats, floor shifter, etc.
Mechanically, this 85 Nissan King Cab Deluxe Pickup is turn key and
on the button. Everything works as it should, the truck drives as
it did 32 years ago when driven off the lot.
Nissan / Datsun has been a consistent leader in the import truck
market since the 1950's, and the model 720 was considered an
ambassador model as it was one of the first Japanese import
vehicles to be assembled in the United States; New Smyrna, TN.
These were very efficient, reliable and useful trucks for many
situations and for this reason survival rates for these are low.
Original, extreme quality, low mile examples such as the truck
offered here are nearly non-existent. The classic truck market is
on fire, and Japanese imports of this generation have a global
appeal. Any low mile original vehicle of this caliber is a must
consider and a worthy investment for any enthusiast and collector.
