Just a clip of history about the Whippet: The Whippet car had a short but surprisingly successful history. It was produced by the Willys-Overland Co. of Toledo, Ohio, which traced its roots back to 1903 when it started producing Overlands. The Whippet was introduced late in 1926 as a 1927 model to replace the Overland which had not really appealed to buyers in the low priced field. It was named for the Whippet dog, intended to denote a vehicle that was small and swift.
This is a California car. I originally purchased it to turn it into a hotrod but unfortunately, sometimes things take an unexpected turn. It has been garaged for a few years and needs a little TLC to bring it back to life. It still has the original interior and the tires are in good shape. Looking for someone that wants to put the time into this car the way I had originally wanted to myself.
