Going down the road the rebuilt matching numbers motor mated to the stock 4 speed overdrive transmission runs strong and shifts beautifully with that unmistakable classic Austin Healey exhaust note. The brakes, suspension, steering, and clutch all feel correct and function “as new” to provide that authentic big Healey driving experience.
Under closer inspection it is clear that great attention to detail and authenticity were employed during the restoration process. The seats are of a very high quality soft English leather and fitted perfectly. In fact all of the interior panels, carpeting and instruments are of the finest quality and expertly fit. The bumpers, grill, headlight rings, door handles, windshield frame and all other original chrome components were re-plated to a high standard. No reproductions chrome parts were used. All 5 tires are correct 15″ Dunlop Road speed bias plys as supplied from the factory. The paint was wet sanded and buffed to a mirror finish but now through use shows some minor blemishes. This car is not a trailer queen. It was driven to shows where the owner enjoyed the accolades and acknowledgments of other Austin Healey enthusiasts and judges. Many NOS, and rare parts were acquired over the owners 23 year stewardship to create one of the best Healey BN4 cars in the US.
Sale includes every single receipt, photo album of ground-up restoration, judging documents, British Heritage Trust certificate, trophies and manuals.
