retains original MATCHING NUMBERS on engine and transmission.
Approximately 500 miles since RESTORATION! The 283ci V8 was rebuilt
in 2013, as well as the matching Power Glide trans and rear axle.
During the restoration, the engine block was polished, dipped and
stuffed with all NEW internals and then balanced. Engine stamp code
"D" lists this Impala's 283 motor with 170hp, a 2 barrel carb and
Power Glide transmission. Original carburetor was also retained and
rebuilt. Mechanical upgrades added during restoration were a
Borgeson steering box with 12:1 ratio, true dual exhaust with
FlowMasters, electronic ignition, new front suspension and new
brakes. BODY improvements: The restoration consisted of new quarter
panels, a driver's floor pan and beautiful black base coat clear
coat finish. All chrome was removed, polished and reinstalled,
including original trim and emblems whenever possible. The body
shows very well and removable rear wheel skirts are factory fit.
Polished hubcaps are installed over steel wheels and are fitted
with white-walled radial tires. INTERIOR: Seats are black and white
vinyl with hounds tooth cloth inserts and appear newly redone. Dash

bright-work, all of which are in very good condition. Carpeting and
headliner also appear to be new. This is the last year of the 1st
generation Impala, already restored and ready for your collection.
