Part 3: Previous owners History of the vehicle.
I'm only the 3rd owner of the Edsel. The car is from Redding,
California., & had always been in Redding since my purchase last
year.
The car was originally purchased by Earl Siemers, the
Part's Manager of Gerard Edsel in Redding, Ca. in 1960. He sold it
to another gentleman in Redding in 2005. The car had only
39,000 miles at that time, now currently has approx. 45,500 miles.
He ordered the Edsel with the Larger 352V8 & the upgraded Dual
Power transmission. The Edsel is 100% original, save the tires.
One of the most amazing things are what accompanied the car, when I
received it. In had two large boxes in the trunk with Edsel &
FoMoCo NOS parts. Most in their original factory boxes.
Especially interesting is that Earl's Shop Coat with his name/
part's manager on the white work coat was included...WOW!! A
Lincoln-Edsel-Mercury patch sat opposite his name!!!! Also
include were two envelopes of paperwork...some of the standout
items were the orig window-sticker, copy of original registration /
title & an Edsel shop manual. Part 5: Re-cap & sum
up.
I'm only selling this car due to a recent move from San Diego to Los Angeles, & don't have the additional storage here. This is a car to be "appreciated" by someone who understands that "they're only this way once!" I've been to several car events in the past year, and some people can't believe that this car is that original!! But, it is. In the year that I've owned the Edsel, I replaced a manifold, installed a new NOS exhaust system, and replaced the tires with "correct-style & size whitewall tires. All receipts will be included with purchase, as well as all the additional parts, literature / history of this glorious Edsel.
I hope it finds a great new home!!!
