Vehicle Description
International started building trucks in 1907 mostly for commercial
and military use. It was not until the mid-1950's that research
started being done on the potential market for family style trucks
or more importantly four-wheel drive recreational vehicles, known
as SUV's today.
The first Scout was introduced in 1960 with the Scout II being
built for the remainder of the years through 1980. Several variants
were built including trucks and wheel base variants.
This particular Scout II spent most of its life out west with a
recent journey to Northern MI just recently. Although this Scout
has rust and could undergo thorough restoration if wanted, it could
also be driven and enjoyed as is. The Scout we are offering runs
and drives very nicely for what it is. All lights work, Four-Wheel
drive has been serviced as have been the brakes with new tires. It
starts right up and goes down the road.
