Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer this awesome 1966
Chevrolet El Camino. This is no ordinary El Camino. It is powered
by a stout 427 CID V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual
transmission. This truck is seriously quick! Since the truck was
rebuilt 2 years ago it has only covered 5,745 miles. The outside
of the truck has been done in a beautiful red color which is
perfectly matched by the red vinyl interior. The interior is air
conditioned so you will be kept cool on hot summer days. Music in
the cabin is taken care of with the AM/FM radio and cassette
player. Part of owning a classic car can sometimes be a hassle with
heavy steering and difficult brakes. That is certainly not the case
with this truck. With power steering and brakes it is very easy to
drive. To finish off the look it has been equipped with raised
white letters and rally wheels. 1966 was an excellent year. If you
owned one of these back in 1966 you might remember songs like Paint
it Black by The Rolling Stones being played for the first time on
the radio. You may have taken your El Camino to the theater in to
see The Good the Bad and the Ugly when it was first released over
50 years ago! This is the second generation of the El Camino and
shared most of it's sheet metal with the Chevelle. It proved to be
very popular and now they are becoming more and more collectable
every year. Don't miss your chance to take this one home at a great
price. Call the Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220 for more
