Vehicle Description
One of the last Corvair convertibles built! This one and a coupe in
the same color combination were ordered by a father and son on the
day GM announced cessation of production of the Corvair (May,
1969.) Both cars were kept by the original owners until 2014 when a
dealer acquired both. The coupe, which had 5,500 original miles,
was purchased by a gentleman in Michigan. This one was purchased by
a collector here in the St. Louis area when it had just 3,000
original miles. It now has 3,250! All original condition including
the original wheels, hubcaps and tires which hold air just fine
after 48 years.! The current owner chose to purchase a second set
of wheels and tires for safety and collectibility reasons. The
originals are stored in his basement. Everything works as intended
except the radio. Comes with original sales invoice and shipping
order. The spare tire which matches the four original stored road
tires has never been on the ground and still shows the labeling on
the tread.
