This pampered two owner car was maintained in a large collection
for many years until the collection was liquidated in 2009. Since
2009 the car has been carefully cared for and subtly improved with
the addition of 12 volt electrical system and power steering.
Recent work also includes; new fuel tank and lines, new water pump,
new brakes and brake lines and a recent complete tune up with
sparks plus, wires, points, condenser, rotor, and cap.
The exterior paint is in excellent condition, the body panels are
prefect with no ripples and fit of the body panels is excellent.
The glass is also in excellent condition with no delamination or
cracking. The windows all function properly, fully opening and
closing easily. The chrome and bright work is all super straight
with no dents or dings. Some of the bumper chrome is a little
cloudy but is only noticeable with close inspection.
The interior is really exceptional, you see why Cadillac was the
standard of the world! The interior is in fantastic condition, the
chrome and bright work are like new, the upholstery is flawless and
perfect, the dash board is clean and fully functioning. The
headliner, door panels and carpets are all in excellent
condition.
Mechanically these Series 61 Cadillac's are known for smooth
powerful reliability and this car upholds well that reputation
well! The engine starts easily from the push button starter, it
accelerates well and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly,
the power steering makes for an easy driving experience that could
be improved with some newer radial tires.
The engine , trunk, and undercarriage are all in excellent
unmolested original condition. There is no evidence of any rust or
accident repairs anywhere on this car.
