Vehicle Description
1969 AMC AMX for Sale. First introduced by AMC in 1968 to join the
"Pony Car Wars" of the late sixties and early seventies. Here's a
great example of a second year AMX. Powered by a 390 CI V8 with a 4
speed manual transmission, it answered the call on the street to
those Camaros, Mustangs, Firebirds, Darts, and Cudas. A two seater
sports car that made everyone aware that it was there to do
business! Very recognizable with it's "Skunk Stripe" down the
center of the car. Remaining very original throughout with the
addition of a set of Hooker Headers and a set of 15" American
Racing Torque Thrust rims marking the only significant changes from
how it left the factory. Options include power steering, power disc
brakes, a tilt steering column, and a Pioneer stereo eight track
radio. A light, quick car that often surprised the big block
Chevelles, Mopars, and Fords of that era. Responsive, and a blast
to run through the gears feeling the 390 CI push you back in the
seat on that Sunday afternoon cruise. Don't miss this rare AMX!
