This is a fantastic ’69 Olds 442! It’s a real 442 that has
survived for nearly 50 years in close to original form. It’s not
rebuilt or modified, just preserved and maintained exceptionally
well. The car was the pride and joy of the original owner for 45
years - a very nice woman who custom-ordered the car when she was
in her 20s. I've owned it for the last three years.
The car was ordered with loads of options: A/C, disc brakes,
power steering... (noted in more detail further below). The
interior is in great condition and all original. It runs
exceptionally well – the engine is strong, the transmission shifts
smoothly and the car rides beautifully on a straight (no accidents)
Fisher body. It will peel tires hard from a dead stop and
powerfully rocket forward. It will also cruise down the highway
like a classic Olds. It has tremendous power in third gear – if
you’re going 65 mph and step on it, it will leap up to 90mph with
authority in seconds.
I bought the car from the original owner three years ago (I’m
the second owner) – she had a tough time parting with it and would
only sell it to someone she was confident would take care of it.
The car was garage-kept by the owners (as it currently is by me)
and you can tell that anything that could tear a seat or rip a
headliner was never allowed in the interior. They enjoyed the car,
telling me they drove it routinely in the 70s and then used it for
vacations and weekend adventures around California in the later
years. It was driven and enjoyed but also thoroughly taken care of
– you can tell it wasn’t driven hard.
Please feel free to inquire with confidence on this car – it is
the real thing and is in excellent running condition. I’m looking
to sell it at a fair price to a truly appreciative owner that will
take great care of it. If you’re looking for a ’69 Olds 442 that is
authentic to what the car was like back in the day, this is the
one. It’s in fantastic shape.

back right wheel well (where a mud flap would go) – I only notice
it when looking for it
- Original Firestone redline spare tire is in the trunk with the
original tire jack. The rubber nibs are still on the spare as it
was never used – very rare to see an original tire that hasn’t
