Vehicle Description
Stk 2247 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint
This award winning 1964 Falcon Sprint took First Place at the 2016
National Falcon Club of America Annual Event. These Sprint models
are relatively rare today as production numbers were somewhat low -
it was competing with a new Ford model in '64 - the Mustang. As we
all know, the original 1964 Mustang was based almost entirely on
the Ford Falcon. Many of the interior, chassis, suspension, and
drivetrain components came directly from Futura/Sprint bins. This
handsome 1964 Sprint Convertible has been fully restored. It is
considered to be a Gen2 Falcon with more modern styling and more
performance options than the earlier version. The solid body was
reshot with Dodge Red-Line paint in 2013 - a professional job that
has been very well maintained. All of the chrome trim is nice and
period-correct 14" Magnum 500 spoke wheels hold BFGoodrich Radial
T/A tires. The interior was fully restored with seats and door
panels refinished in black vinyl. Windows are tinted and the
original AM radio sits in the dash. That said, there is also a
AM/FM stereo upgrade tucked neatly away in the glove box. A black
vinyl convertible top is in excellent condition. The replacement
289ci engine was totally rebuilt in 2013. It retains a Ford intake
and Holley 4-barrel. The motor sounds great though a dual exhaust
setup and torque is delivered to a Ford 8" differential via a
4-speed manual with Hurst Comp+ shifter. Final gearing is 3.00:1
and braking is manual 4-wheel drums. Look at the photos again - if
you want a fun Blue Oval, this sharp Falcon Sprint convertible has
your name on it. Call 800-650-1055 or visit our website at
