and very original 1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. The popularity of
these has been through the roof since a certain black and gold one
donned the silver screen and the popularity continues to this day.
This car is the real deal, right and tight, Trans Am. The fit and
finish are in great shape for the age. It is the original paint,
and sticker package. So, yes, it is going to show a little patina,
but you would as well after 37 years. This is the car that takes
you back to the day when you first saw the movie, or someone in
your high school had one of these and you thought they were the
coolest person on the planet and you just had to have one. Well,
here is your opportunity.
The interior of this car is in absolute awesome shape. Everything
is original outside of the aftermarket radio that was installed
some years ago for some modern tune listening. You are not finding
any rips or tears in the seats, carpet, headliner, or dash. The T
Tops are in excellent shape and the rubbers around them are as
well. This may not be the black and gold car, but you sure feel
like him when you get in it.
Under the hood by 1980 was not the most horsepower from anything
coming out of Detroit. Long gone were the big block gobs of
horsepower and torque days. This car is sporting the 4.9 Liter 301
Cubic Inch Turbo motor. This motor put out 210 HP. Everything else
of the day was only putting out 110-155 HP so this was the
performer of the day. Everything runs very well with this car and
the 3 speed automatic transmission shifts smooth just like it
should. The miles that you see on the odometer are original. This
is getting harder and harder to find in these cars these days so
take advantage.
This truly is a car that needs to be in your collection today. Have
