For Sale: 1987 Buick GNX #359 GRAND NATIONAL in Henderson, Nevada
World Famous car number 359. One of the great GM performance cars -
the Buick GNX! This is the ultimate Grand National. This Buick
project was a result of a plan at the 1985 Indy 500 between Buick
and McLaren Engines. The automaker sent the engine builders a
standard Grand National V-6 they could develop with possible
production in mind. After the program was approved by GM, ASC
(American Sunroof Corp - McLaren's parent company) received Buick
Grand Nationals and converted them to the GNX specification.
Only 547 were ever built.
ASC made many changes under the hood including a turbocharger and
intercooler. This car also has a Turbo Hydramatic 200 4R
transmission, beefed up suspension, Stewart Warner white-on-black
dials, and vented fenders (portholes) as equipped from new.
Only 10 miles on the odometer and has never been titled. MSO ONLY.
Fully documented.
