For Sale: 1968 Chevrolet Camaro in Manitowoc, Wisconsin

Vehicle Description

All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance.  I can assist with financing and transport as needed.

The first generation Camaro is one of the most desirable cars of the muscle car era. Lasting from 1967-1969, this platform continues to be the most popular (and valuable) Camaro family of all time. And this 1968 model, with its beautiful paint, 435hp numbers-matching 327, and numerous upgrades, carries the torch well.

This car was stripped to bare metal in 2013 and repainted in fabulous GM Electron Blue. This is a high quality paint job that looks magnificent in any light. The car also received a new vinyl top, bumpers, trim, emblems, and more. A cowl hood was added along with spoilers front and rear. There are also 17" Boyd Coddington wheels with BF Goodrich tires (225 front, 275 rear). The neat Digitails taillights provide sequential or standard operation.

Under the hood is the car's original 327 cubic inch motor. It received a complete rebuild in 2016 that really changed things. The big power adder was a set of excellent AFR 1034 aluminum cylinder heads. Other additions include an Edelbrock 7102 camshaft, aluminum intake manifold, Quick Fuel carburetor, and MSD ignition. The end result is 435hp at 6600rpm (dyno sheet included).

There is also an aluminum radiator with adjustable electric fans, ceramic coated headers, and Flowmaster mufflers. The transmission is a rebuilt TH350 with a shift kit and performance 2800rpm torque converter, while in back is a 10-bolt assembly with 3.08 gears.

The work didn't stop with the drivetrain. The front end received tubular control arms, adjustable Viking coils, and a huge stabilizer bar. The steering has power assist so anyone can drive. Note the aluminum tie rod sleeves too. The brakes were converted to power front discs along with drop spindles.

The interior was redone as well and has a clean, stock appearance with woodgrain accents. There is a retro appearing radio with USB and auxiliary inputs. Everything works properly as well, including all the little stuff.

Camaros are one of the most endearing cars of the 1960's. This one has had a tremendous amount of work done, resulting in a car that looks amazing and has far more performance than when it left Norwood. Even the Ford and Mopar types will like this one.
