This car was in the Schueler family since it was new! This was in
South Central Nebraska. During prohibition they put heavy duty
springs on her. They would go up to Canada buy alcohol and bring it
back to Harvard Nebraska and sell it. The family would help the
farmers out when it came time to pay their property taxes. They
didn't want them to lose their farms. The farmers would pay them
back when they sold their crops, cattle or hogs. Even though it was
illegal they turned it into a good thing! My late husband was the
last Schueler to own the car. He went to Nebraska rescued it from
the family barn and brought it to Milpitas, California where he and
his late wife restored it. They had a body man help take it apart
and teach them how to sand the parts of the body. When they were
done with that the body man painted the parts and put it back
together. The engine, wood spoke wheels and the steering wheel is
100% original. I hope whom ever buys her appreciates and preserves
her for future generations.
