All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. I can assist with financing and transport as needed.
Here is a nice example of a 1970 Ford F100. This one hails from
Texas and has the top-of-the-line Ranger XLT package (new for 1970)
along with working air conditioning! With only 34k miles on the
odometer it is one of the lower mileage examples you'll find.
I'm going to start with the interior of this pickup; it is in
remarkable condition, as expected for such a low-mileage vehicle.
It looks very sharp as well with the XLT package. Flip the seat
forward and even the fuel tank area looks great. Everything is nice
and tight; the gear selector, turn signal lever, horn ring, etc.
All the gauges work properly, as do the wipers, horn,
heater/defroster, radio, interior lights, dash lights, and cargo
light. This truck was equipped with a dealer-installed air
conditioning package (very common in 1970). It has a new compressor
and blows cold.
The body and frame of this F100 are straight and solid. The Texas
climate has kept rust at bay, unlike so many other old trucks.
While the paint and trim show their age, this remains a handsome
pickup with its code BM Royal Maroon / Wimbledon White paint scheme
and XLT accents. Note the vintage grille guard from Fort Worth too.
The bed looks great and the original wheel covers are present.
The engine is the original 360 cubic inch V8 with 2-barrel
carburetor. This is mated to a C6 automatic transmission and 3.25
ratio rear end. Everything remains in its stock configuration,
right down to the air cleaner heat riser. The truck is surprisingly
quick too! The radiator has been replaced with an aluminum unit and
upgraded with an electric fan controlled by coolant temperature and
a/c operation. Brakes are power drums all around, and there is also
power steering.
It's a real throwback getting in one of these nearly-50-year-old
pickups (especially if you drive a modern truck). They have become
respectable collector vehicles as well. And while there are plenty
of rotted out, high mileage examples out there, this is not one of
them.
